Our first stop of the day was the Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, N. H. Just unbelievably beautiful. It reminded Chris and I both of the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego.
The next stop was Portland, Maine. We lunched (lobster roll for me and full lobster dinner for Chris) at an unique spot on the water. The vibe was so good here! Live music, great food and a fabulous view of the Portland waterfront.(love locks)
We next drove south to Kennebunkport. We checked into our inn, the 1802 House Bed and Breakfast Inn. We loved this place!
We walked about 10 minutes into "town",
and then about 10 minutes out of town to St. Anthony's Franciscan Monastery. This is a huge property with lots of trails. We roamed all over.
We drove a bit out of town for dinner and on the way we caught a glimpse a Walker's Landing, the Bush Family Home.
We ate at The Ramp, very cool little eatery on the watery. The sunset this evening was spectacular.
