Further south is the town of Ogunquit, another beautiful coastal Maine town. We walked along the Marginal Way Walkway.
Chris looks good on the East Coast!
We visited a few shops and then ate, again, Maine lobster at a little pier restaurant. I had a lobster roll at three different places - all delicious, basically the same and around $16 each. Big pieces of lobster are served in a toasted roll, usually with coleslaw and chips. I also had multiple bowls of clam chowder - some dairy based, some broth based. All good.
Ogunquit is beautiful, made even more so by a spectacular sunny day.
Just before heading into Boston and dropping off our rental car we made a quick stop in Salem, Ma. We buzzed through quickly and didn't see much, but did get a few pics. Salem is also a seaside town and filled with history (and lots of touristy shops and tours).
We came across this bronze statue of Samantha Stevens, of "Bewitched".
We left Salem and fairly easily made our way back into Boston, dropped off our car and made our way to our last night's place of lodging, the Airport Hilton. Spending the last night of vacation near the airport makes for a less painful early morning departure.
