We had a quick get-away to Santa Barbara this weekend. The main event was Heidi and Greg's wedding on Saturday. We left a day early and stayed the night to make it a little vacation. We left Whittier about 7am, encountered some LA traffic, stopped for breakfast in Ventura and then arrived in a very grey Santa Barbara about 10:30. We roamed around the coast, both by foot and car and by 11:30 it had become a beautiful day.
We "yelped" a lunch spot and hit gold with L's Kitchen, a sweet, kind of hole in the wall place in the Funk Zone of Santa Barbara. I didnt't get pics of the yummy lunch, but did get some of the little side patio where we ate.
After lunch we walked up and down State Street, made a brief visit to the Mission, roamed around town a bit more, including the courthouse, and then drove up into the hills above town.
We had a leisurely Saturday morning before heading to the wedding. We ate breakfast at Jeannine's American Bakery. Very, very good!
