Hudson, Kansas

On day two of our Kansas trip we drove from Stafford to Hudson to St. John. All are small towns. Hudson is the smallest (population 125), but unique in that it is home to The Stafford County Flour Mill Company. The mill is one of the last independent flour mills remaining in the U.S.

Some country pictures between Stafford and Hudson..

The produces Hudson Cream Flour.

In this part of Central Kansas is the Quivira National Wildlife Refuge. We drove through part of the refuge. This part of the state is so unpopulated; we saw less than 5 cars over a period of several hours.

Once out of the refuge, we headed for the nearby town of St. John. The countryside is so beautiful.
