Next we came back to the north side of the city and lunched at a little bakery/sandwich place. The butternut squash soup was delicious.
We then roamed the Esplanade.
Next we took the "T" followed by a short bus ride out to the JFK Presidential Library. The library is located on Columbia Point near the University of Massachusetts campus. It was designed by I.M. Pei.

Our favorite part of the library was the large glass pavilion that looks out over the sea. the breezy, grey day added to the beauty.
We ended the day with a subway ride to Quincy Market for Lobster Rolls and then to Mike's Pastries in Little Italy for a canoli.
Favorite picture of the day: The Rose Kennedy Garden with the city in the background.
