New England Vacation - Day One

On Tuesday Chris and I flew to Boston. Day One of our New England vacation was spent mostly traveling. We flew from LAX to Chicago to Boston. We arrived in Boston at about 7pm, just in time to get some beautiful sunset pics.

We easily made it to our apartment from the airport using the subway, called the "T".

We breathed a sigh of relief when we opened the door to our "VRBO" apartment. We found it to be exactly as described - a 500 square foot studio on the second floor of a 3-story walk-up in the Back Bay area of the city. It is small, but fine for the two of us. The kitchen and bath are updated and the place is super clean. I love the hard wood floors and the large almost floor to ceiling windows. A queen sized Murphy bed fills about half of the living space.
The neighborhood is beautiful - old brick buildings, little parks scattered about, lots of green and flowers and within a block or two, cafes and small shops. After settling in, we walked about 10 minutes to a market (stocked up on breakfast foods and coffee) and then to an Italian restaurant. Our trip is off to a good start!
